Police Officer

Qualifications:

1.  Colorado P.O.S.T. certified candidates OR
2.  Candidates who are currently attending a Colorado POST certified Law Enforcement Academy OR
3.  Out-of-state officers whose certification will transfer to Colorado POST.

Additional Qualifications include:

  • High school diploma
  • Tobacco-free
  • Weight proportionate to height
  • Acceptable criminal and driving record
  • United States citizen

Salary:

  • Hiring range is $51,000 - $74,000 annually depending on education and experience

Qualified applicants are evaluated through the use of:

  • Selection Interview
  • Physical Fitness Test
  • Background Investigation
  • Written Test
  • Oral Board Review
  • Polygraph
  • Report Writing Exercise
  • Medical Exam
  • Psychological Evaluation
