The Airport Fixed Base Operations Division, located 3 miles northwest of the City, is responsible for providing services to the transient customers and local aircraft owners of the Steamboat Springs Airport.

Services
The FBO provides services associated with the following:
  • fuel purchasing
  • pilot supplies
  • aircraft preheating
  • de-icing
  • support operations

The KSBS staff assists customers in aircraft parking and securing aircraft by anchoring at tie-down positions.

Weather Systems
The FBO facility has satellite weather systems for flight planning purposes and pilot briefings.  The AWOS weather system provides automated 24x7 local aviation weather via telephone at 970-879-7794 and via Aviation Radio on frequency 118.325. 

There is a second AWOS located atop Mt. Werner (10,568') at the Steamboat Ski Resort. It is available via telephone at 970-871-5640 & 970-871-5641 and via Aviation Radio on frequency 127.125


Mountain Flight Service
Mountain Flight Service, Inc. provides on-demand air charter service to anywhere in the continental United States. We operate turbine powered King Air aircraft and employ pilots highly trained in mountain flying who have served the Steamboat community since 1994.

Mountain Aircraft Maintenance
Providing complete aircraft maintenance on single engine, multi engine, jet, and helicopter. The shop is located at the north end of the ramp at the Steamboat Springs Airport.
