YOUTH SPORTS
The City of Steamboat Springs Parks & Community Services Department manages the following Youth Sports programs:
  • Youth Flag Football League
  • Youth Spring & Summer Hockey League
  • NFL Punt, Pass & Kick 

Spring 3v3 Hockey

Join us at Howelsen Ice Arena for our Spring 3 on 3 Hockey session. Get creative while testing your hockey boundaries through small area games and team play!

Format: 
3 on 3 cross-ice pond hockey style. Maximum 6 players per team.
Dates:
Monday, March 20th-Thursday, April 17th
Location:
Howelsen Ice Arena
Day/Time:
Monday Nights - 7:30pm-8:30pm (Birth years between 2001-2004)
Thursday Nights - 5:15pm-6:15pm (Birth years between 2005-2007)
Cost:
$60.00 per player for 5 sessions

Additional Information:
All players must be registered with USA Hockey for the 2016-2017 season online at www.usahockey.com

NFL PUNT, PASS & KICK - STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, CO
The NFL PUNT, PASS & KICK (PPK) program is a national skills competition for boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 15 to compete separately against their peers.

Established in 1961, the PPK program is the oldest NFL Youth Football program.
Girls and boys in five separate age divisions (6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, and 14-15) compete against each other in punting, passing and place kicking in a fun and engaging forum.

YOUTH FOOTBALL - GENERAL INFO
This program is designed for boys & girls entering 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th grades who want to learn more about the fundamentals of football in a non-competitive and fun atmosphere. Volunteer coaches teach basic fundamentals and coach during league play.

Season Dates:
Mid/Late August to Early October

Flag Football Rules

Willing to Coach or Assist?  Email Nick - Sports Coordinator, put "Football Coach Volunteer" in the subject line.  A very important coaches meeting will be held for all volunteer coaches on Wednesday, August 10th, 6:15PM at the Parks and Community Services office (after equipment pick-up for 6th grade participants).


TEE-BALL, COACH PITCH AND YOUTH BASEBALL
Tee Ball and coach pitch are designed to teach basic baseball skills to kids K-3rd grades. The program is now run by Yampa Valley Youth Baseball Association.

In addition, Yampa Valley Youth Baseball now provides baseball for kids 9-14 years old. Please contact their organization for more information.



YOUTH BASKETBALL
This program is designed for boys and girls in 3rd through 6th grades who want to learn more about the fundamentals of basketball in a non-competitive atmosphere.

YOUTH SOCCER
Youth soccer is not a city program. The Steamboat Soccer Club is for kids ages 5-18.
