Risk Management

Risk Management's primary responsibility is to continually provide for the safety of City employees and the public.

Risk Management coordinates insurance programs and coverages, including workers compensation, property/casualty, liability, surety, fidelity, etc. This Division analyzes risks and exposure for all aspects of City services and programs and special events to minimize exposure and losses.

Risk Management provides specialized safety training and conducts audits on public facilities and programs in conjunction with insurance carriers to continually improve safety consciousness and loss prevention.

Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

The City of Steamboat Springs complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, which prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability. The ADA requires that no qualified individual with a disability shall, on the basis of a disability, be denied the benefits of local governmental services, programs, or activities or employment.
