Fire Suppression/Emergency Medical Services(EMS)

SSFR Responds to a variety of emergencies to provide structural and wildland fire suppression, emergency medical services (including amubulance service), and high and low angle rope rescue. Staffing consists of full-time, part-time and volunteer personnel. All personnel are trained as firefighters and Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) with several personnel trained to the Paramedic level.

Dr. Liala Powers is the Medical Director for SSFR and pre-hospital medical care is provided under the guidance of the Routt County EMS Protocols.
