New Carbon Monoxide Detector Requirements

HB1091, also known as the "Lofgren and Johnson Families Carbon Monoxide Safety Act" was signed into law in March 2009. This new state law requires rental properties (single or multifamily dwellings) that use fuel-fired heaters, appliances, fireplaces, or attached garage to be equipped with a CO detector.
