Mission Statement

The mission of the Steamboat Springs City Clerks Office is to be the information resource center for Council, City staff and the public for accurate and timely access to all official activities and publications, provided that the appropriate procedures to obtain this information is followed.

The City Clerks Office is responsible for all official municipal records for the City; accurately recording Council meetings; circulating information concerning decisions and policy issues; administration of all regular municipal and special elections pursuant to the Colorado Municipal Election Code; administration of the Steamboat Springs Redevelopment Authority; administration of the local Liquor Licensing Authority; coordination of City liquor licensing registration; approval of all Special Activity Permits; and distributing documentation and information as requested from customers in a timely manner (pursuant to the Colorado Open Meetings Laws).
