Organic Waste Compost Collection2020-08-19T16:00:00A pilot project launched a new way to compost organic waste for residential and business customers through a unique partnership between Innovative Regeneration Colorado (IRC) and the City of Steamboat Springs.
Program participants will drop-off organic waste in buckets provided by the program every week at the Rodeo Grounds. The drive-through collection site will take the buckets, weigh them, dump the organic waste into IRC’s containers and then return the bucket to customers so that the next week’s material can be collected.
Staffed by IRC’s Feed for Seed personnel, the mobile collection will be available every Wednesday from 4pm to 6pm, starting July 15. So far, approximately twenty participants have enrolled in the pilot program which spans residents and businesses.
For more information on the composting program, contact IRC’s Feed For Seed team at 970.396.6626 or by email at feedforseed@gmail.com.
